RinseNote helps cleaning businesses document jobs for their customers. This page explains what we collect, how it’s used, and your choices. We don’t sell personal information or show advertising.
What we collect
- Your account: the name, email address, and profile picture link from your Google sign-in. We ask Google for nothing else.
- Your business: its name and the contact details you add for customers.
- Your jobs: customer names and contact details, property addresses, service dates, notes, and photos you upload. Original photo files can contain camera information such as location; they stay private to your account.
- Billing: Stripe processes payments. We receive your subscription status and billing dates, never your full card number.
- Technical records: limited logs needed to run and secure the service, such as errors and upload failures.
How it’s used
To provide RinseNote: storing your work, producing reports and PDFs, sharing them where you choose, billing, sending account notices (such as a trial ending or an export being ready), and keeping the service secure. Account notices are service messages, not marketing.
Who can see it
- You, when signed in to your account.
- Anyone with a report link you share can view that report: the details and photo copies in it, and its PDF. Copies shown to customers don’t include camera metadata. You can turn a link off at any time; PDFs that were already downloaded can’t be recalled.
- Service providers who run parts of RinseNote for us: Convex (database, file storage, and servers), Vercel (website hosting), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email) for account notices. They process data only to provide those services.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Your customers’ information
You decide what to record about your customers and their properties. Please only upload photos and details you’re entitled to share, and share report links only with the people they’re meant for.
How long we keep it
- While your account is active, your work stays until you delete it.
- If your trial or subscription ends, your account becomes read-only and your jobs, photos, and reports are deleted 30 days later.
- If you delete your account, report links turn off immediately and your job data is removed in the background. We keep the locked account and its billing references until Stripe confirms cancellation, then remove them too. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of the Google account you signed in with, not its email address or name, so a deleted account can’t start another free trial.
- Data exports are deleted after 7 days.
- Our providers may keep backup copies for a limited time under their own retention schedules.
Your choices
You can edit or delete jobs at any time, export all your data from Settings, and delete your account there too. To ask about your information, contact us at rinsenote@gmail.com.
Changes
If we change how we handle information in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and tell account holders before the change applies.
